Zhao Zhenyang, Chairman of Shandong Dongyi Optoelectronics, Appointed as Distinguished Visiting Scholar at Shandong Technology and Business University

On the afternoon of May 20, Shandong Technology and Business University held a signing ceremony for the appointment of high-level talent, formally appointing Professor Zhao Zhenyang, Chairman of Shandong Dongyi Optoelectronic Instrument Co., Ltd., as a specially appointed expert of the university. President Tao Hu attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. The ceremony was presided over by Vice President Liu Bing.

Prior to the signing ceremony, Guo Jianguo, Secretary of the University Party Committee, met with Professor Zhao Zhenyang and extended a warm welcome to him. He emphasized that talent is the core resource for innovative development, and the university will deepen cooperation with high-tech enterprises, explore pathways for industry-academia-research integration, and enhance the quality of talent cultivation.

At the signing ceremony, Dean Tao Hu introduced the university's “1-3-5-8” development strategy and “231” model. He noted that the university is currently at a critical juncture of transformation and upgrading, and Professor Zhao Zhenyang's appointment will inject momentum into this process. He expressed hope that Professor Zhao would play a leading role in advancing professional development through industry-academia-research collaboration and promoting the commercialization of research outcomes via university-enterprise partnerships. Subsequently, Dean Tao Hu presented Professor Zhao Zhenyang with the appointment letter for high-level talent.

Professor Zhao Zhenyang stated in his address that he will fully leverage his strengths and experience in innovation and entrepreneurship to deepen industry-academia-research collaboration and talent development. He pledged to repay the university's trust with substantial achievements and contribute to the high-quality advancement of its educational endeavors.

Professor Zhao Zhenyang is a senior engineer holding a Ph.D. in Advanced Manufacturing from Shandong University. He concurrently serves in key social roles including Chairman of the High-Tech Zone Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association, Member of the Standing Committee of the Yantai Municipal People's Congress, and Member of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Recognized as a national high-level talent, he has been honored with titles such as Shandong Province's “Taishan Industrial Leading Talent” and Jilin Province's “Changbai Mountain Specially Appointed Leading Talent.” In the realm of scientific research, Professor Zhao has achieved remarkable accomplishments. He holds 27 authorized patents and 12 software copyrights, has led 14 national and provincial-level projects, and published 27 SCI and EI papers. His accolades include the Second Prize of Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the First Prize of Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. He has also been honored with the “Shandong Provincial Medal for Enriching the People and Revitalizing Shandong,” “Yantai Model Worker,” " Yantai City Innovation Team Lead Expert,“ and ”Yantai City's Most Outstanding Science and Technology Worker."
